SwapSwap is very intuitive. Once you open the application, you will see a list of your friends that use SwapSwap, and a list of items that have been added recently. You can access your friend’s items and wishlist directly from your home page.

Adding items to your wish list is very easy. You can add an item from your homepage, from the browse page or from an itemlist or wishlist of some friend, all you have to do is click the “add to wishlist” button.

SwapSwap allows you easily to find the things that you want using the browse page. There you can browse items by category or search for an item by name. Once you have found the thing you want you can add it to your wishlist or you can initiate a swap.

Adding new items for exchange can be done through the “Add item” page. SwapSwap allows you to add books, CDs, DVDs, sport cards and post stamps. All of the fields that need to be filled support suggestions like authors and artists names publishers producers etc. you can upload a photo as well.

Your itemslist and wishlist can be opened from anywhere in the application. In your wishlist page you can remove the items that you already got or the items you no longer wish for.

To start the swapping process all you have to do is click the swap icon in the top right corner of every item on SwapSwap no matter where the item is, which will start the negotiation process for the items you may exchange with your friend.

Once the swap process is started you can check the current status in the swaps section of the application. In this section you can monitor the current status of all of the swaps that you are committed to, and depending on the current overall status of the exchange, the items will be colored differently. To complete the swap both of the exchanging parties must set their swap status to received.
