This project is a technological-developmental project supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Macedonia, after NI TEKNA – Intelligent Technologies was selected among 20 companies from Macedonia that won such a project for the year 2011.

NI TEKNA is developing a new system for data acquisition and data management of the sensed data, gathered from a system of multiple sensors deployed in a Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). There exists few similar systems, but they are very expensive or require monthly subscriptions. Our system will be affordable, able to add new sensor types produced by different manufacturers, communicate through different types of media using different protocols, such as ZigBee, GPRS, GSM/SMS, Bluetooth and Ant+, something which cannot be found in any other similar system at the moment.

By using several known and originally developed algorithms for classification and time-series analysis of the measured data, as well as with storing the data in a data base of choice, we expect that this system will find a wide use in future in applications of energy-efficiency, structural-health monitoring, professional sport and others.
